Author Spotlight: Wait for it…Wait for it…Okay, it’s ME.
I honestly can’t believe this, but I’m launching my new teen novel, TIME WARPED, right now, as you’re reading this. I feel as though I’ve given birth again, only this time I didn’t have to promise the nurse my first born in exchange for an epidural. Luckily, I was able to buy my daughter back…eventually!
So, where’s a bottle of Dom Perignon when you need it? If I could find an extra c-note lying around, you can be sure I would’ve sunk the money into a ridiculous looking ad to display on your shopping cart at the local Piggly Wiggly.
Instead, you’ll just have to settle for a semi-professional photo my daughter took of me in my dining room, a few months back. You can’t see it, but I’ve got my pajama bottoms on, below the sweater, where pajama bottoms ought to go, if it were bedtime and not an afternoon photo shoot.
As silly as my photo is, you can be sure Time Warped was polished by some pretty weighty professionals at Gypsy Shadow Publishing (www.gypsyshadow.com).
My editors, Denise and Charlotte, are the cream of the crop, and I mean that in the very best sense, despite being lactose intolerant. They stuck with me long after my husband and daughter grew tired of hearing how special I was to actually be published.
Charlotte told me the novel made her cry. That’s good, right? I took it as such, anyway.
Hopefully, you’ll be moved to check it out for yourself, not for the pajama photo, but perhaps cause it’s the sort of story your teen might actually read, or you might be compelled to read for yourself while they’re at school, giving in to some much deserved guilty pleasure that no one has to know about, except me–cause I’m hoping you might want to put up an honest review on GoodReads, Amazon, or your own highly entertaining weekly blog. I say honest, cause I still can’t find that extra c-note to bribe you with.
Time Warped is about a troubled teen, Lanie Landry, who wakes up one day to find herself in an insane asylum, back in 1969. There, she meets her biological mom for the first time and falls for a mysterious inmate.
In case you think the premise intriguing, I certainly wouldn’t hate if you bought it. E-books, epubs, and the like, are available at all the popular ebook stores you virtually shop at, and actual physical books are available too! But you will have to turn the pages yourself.
You can also purchase an ebook or print copy of Time Warped at: www.timewarped.net
A really easy way to buy it would be from my website at: www.timewarped.net. I say easy, but what I really mean is lucrative, as I receive more royalties if you buy it straight from the publisher. But truthfully, I’d really be grateful however you happened upon it. If you’d like a signed copy, drop me a note in my contact section, either on this blog or on my website and write “LittleRedWriter” in the subject line. I will then personally deliver your autographed copy myself, at a discount. I may even surprise you with a decorative bookmark. And, the first 50 print copies will be numbered from 1-50. Number 1 is already reserved, for a special teen I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting, who requested it on FB before it even went into its final stages of editing.
Okay, I think that’s enough surprises for one morning. You may now return to your regularly scheduled life.
