Sadly, GSP closed their doors and I lost my publisher for The Ascender, book 1, not long after it grabbed a finalist spot in a big contest. Time to make some lemonade and set sail on new adventures in self-publishing for books 1 and 2–newly completed—in The Ascender Series.
What’s particularly exciting is I get to include my artistic daughter in the mix. She’s a trained actress, writer and producer, chosen for a theater residency in NYC next year, and she actually consented to narrate both audiobooks, in all that spare time she has!—lol.
The Ascender is a teen sci-fi story that involves teleportation, an energy weapon, timeline changes, and a desperate kid who wonders why he’s the sole target of a gov’t stalker. And yet, somehow, he still finds time to crush on a girl who can’t seem to make up her mind.
